Use Templates to Start a Perforated Panel Design

1 min read

Overview #

Templates help you start from a ready-made pattern instead of building every design from zero. They are useful when you want to explore layouts, visual styles, or common perforated panel ideas quickly.

Template Library panel in HoleSnap

Open the Template Library #

Click Templates in the left sidebar. The Template Library shows available starting points, including free and Plus templates when applicable.

Each template includes a preview image and a name. Use the preview to choose a pattern that is close to your target design.

Choose a Template #

Select a template to load its pattern settings into the editor. After loading, you can still adjust canvas size, shape, spacing, gradient, boundary, and export options.

Templates are starting points, not locked files.

Customize the Design #

After loading a template:

  • Set the panel size.
  • Adjust hole size and spacing.
  • Change color for preview clarity.
  • Modify gradient or boundary settings.
  • Check open rate and minimum bridge.
  • Export the file in the needed format.

Free and Plus Templates #

Some templates may require Plus access. If a template is marked Plus, sign in with the correct account before using it.

Free templates can be used as quick examples or starting points for common workflows.

Practical Recommendation #

Use templates for exploration and speed. For production, always verify the exported file in CAD/CAM software and adjust dimensions to match the real panel.
